I was born in Cornwall into the hotel industry. My family had a big hotel overlooking the most glorious sandy beach and I grew up with the sound of the sea and the knowledge of what really makes a good holiday great!

Whilst visiting my Aunt over 24 years ago in Cape Town, I fell in love with the country of South Africa, and Cape Town in particular.
A place where the sun shines brightly, even in winter ... the people are as warm as the summer sun itself, and the abundance of great food and wine is a given.
My family now has it's own Cape Town paradise, which we visit as often as we can. My parents, having retired from the hotel industry, spend six months of the year there and six months back here in the United Kingdom.
