Although only rated 3 stars, we believe you will enjoy this family run hotel which is a South African icon! The food is excellent and the hiking in the locality including guided hikes to the top of Cathedral Peak is awe inspiring. From here you will drive to Isandlwana Lodge (3 hours).
From here you will drive to Isandlwana Lodge (3 hours). This is a great opportunity to indulge in KwaZulu- Natal's turbulent past which will be graphically brought to life by a dramatic narrator skilled in military tactics. You will also be able to experience Zulu culture in the local community.
From here it is a 2 1/2 hour drive to Amakhosi Lodge where you will be able to see the Big Five in an exclusive private game reserve. After a three night stay you will drive 3 1/2 hours to Ballito on KwaZulu-Natal's Northern Coast to round off your trip with three days beside the Indian Ocean.
Accommodation is provided by Cathedral Peak and Isandlwana Lodge on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis, Amakhosi Game Lodge is provided on an all inclusive basis and Izulu Lodge on a bed & breakfast basis. Battle field tours are not included in the price but approximate to £50 ($70) per person for a full day's tour. Accommodation is for 12 nights and you will fly return to Durban via Johannesburg.
